German company to manufacture passenger aircraft components in Romania

On Wednesday, the Government increased by 40% the annual premium granted to the owners of land on which afforestation is carried out under the NRRP.
Also on Wednesday, major projects for the realization of the Cluj and Baia Mare bypasses were approved.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced that a German company will open a new factory in Romania.
Components for passenger airplanes will be manufactured in Romania, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced, adding that it is a German investor.
Marcel Ciolacu: Romania continues to attract major investors. A new factory has been announced in our country by a German company. Suppliers for aeronautics giants will manufacture components for passenger aircraft at the new plant and they chose Romania for its strategic position between the East and West, plus excellent access to suppliers and skilled talent.
Infrastructure investments are also continuing, both in the capital and in Baia Mare and Cluj, where major ring road projects will be approved.
Marcel Ciolacu: In Baia Mare the ring road will be almost 32 km long, an investment of 3.2 billion lei. In Cluj, the Metropolitan Belt is 42 km. It is an extremely complex project, in two phases, estimated at over 9 billion lei.
The annual premium granted to landowners on which afforestation or reforestation is carried out, provided for in the NRRP, will be increased by 40% by the government.
The objective is to have about 28.000 hectares afforested by the end of next year, the Prime Minister said.
