Hundreds of events are scheduled across the country - more than 150.000 people are expected to attend - and the Interior Ministry has increased the number of troops on the ground to ensure public order.
There will be gendarmerie patrols, including on mountain trails, to offer advice or intervene if needed.
Numerous Interior Ministry forces will be seen in the tourist resorts of Valcea these days, as well as on mountain trails. All of them will have the role of preventing various incidents. George Tacale, spokesman of the Valcea County Gendarmerie Inspectorate.
George Tacale: We will pay special attention to tourist resorts, where we will have an active presence, with a preventive role, so as to ensure that there will be no incidents affecting public order and peace. To this end, more than 50 mountain gendarmes will be on the mountain trails and in tourist areas, with the main task of providing support, guidance and help.
In addition, Firefighters from Valcea will be present at places of worship, particularly monasteries, where many believers will be walking, especially on the night of the Resurrection. To avoid unpleasant events, the fire brigade has a number of recommendations. Sorin Albinaru, spokesman for ISU Valcea.
Sorin Albinaru: It is important that lighted candles are placed in a non-combustible support, for example in a dish with little water, and not placed near clothes or other textiles. Under no circumstances should lighted candles be left unattended, don't fall asleep with lit candles and don't leave them within reach of children.
