Electric Castle will not take place this year

Articol de Radio România Cluj, 19 Mai 2021, 05:00

Taking into account the latest measures announced by the authorities regarding the limitation of the number of spectators for all cultural and entertainment events this summer, the organizers of Electric Castle (EC) have decided to postpone for 2022 the 8th edition of the festival.

Twenty øne piløts, Gorillaz and Deftones have been reconfirmed for the new dates, set for 13-17 July 2022. The focus for the next period will be to persuade the authorities to clarify the announced measures so that the Electric Castle experience exists, even in a different form in 2021.

According to the decision of the National Committee for Emergency Situations no. 29 / 14.05.2021, events in July will be limited to 2.500 spectators. In addition, the decision contains other limitations that, in order to be applied, require clarifications that will need further rounds of discussions, probably in the coming weeks.

All tickets purchased for the 8th edition remain valid for 2022. Details and options will be communicated in the coming days.
