EC calls on Romanian Govt. to comply with Venice Commission recommendations
European Commission will present a detailed analysis in the forthcoming CVM report of 13 November.

European Commission has taken note of recommendations of the Venice Commission on Criminal Codes and the Laws of Justice in Romania and calls on the Bucharest Government to take these into account.
Dialogue with the Romanian authorities continues in the framework of the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM), and Commission will draw the appropriate conclusions if amendments to the laws of justice, Criminal Codes and normative acts on conflicts of interest and corruption disregard these concerns, EC spokesman for Justice and Rule of law, Christian Wigand said in a statement for Radio Romania.
