DEPLOYEX exercise in the Babadag range

DEPLOYEX exercise in the Babadag range

Articol de Radiojurnal, 11 August 2023, 19:29

250 French and Luxembourgish soldiers, with 65 technical means from the NATO Battle Group in Romania, will participate, next week, starting from Monday, in the DEPLOYEX Exercise in the Babadag range, the Ministry of National Defense informed today.

The movement of troops and technical means will take place on Monday, and the purpose of organizing this exercise is to practice the rapid deployment of troops and equipment of the Battle Group, as well as to improve the level of interoperability of the forces within the NATO Battle Group, being a continuation of training sequences previously carried out at Cincu.

The NATO Battle Group contributes to the increase of Romania's military cooperation with the participating countries - France, the Netherlands and Belgium (by rotation), as well as with Luxembourg and, implicitly, to the consolidation of the security of the Euro-Atlantic space on the eastern flank. According to Ministry of National Defense, cooperation with strategic partners and the existence of relevant combat structures on national territory contribute to increasing the defense and deterrence capacity, in the context of the war in Ukraine and the crisis in the Black Sea region.
