Bucharest Municipality Museum hosts, until February 28, 2019, an exhibition entitled “All in One” – The Story of a Country Project, offering a genealogy of ideas related to Romania's unification project. The gallery of unifying portraits, featuring Ferdinand I and Michael the Brave, includes representations of several historical personalities with different ambitions for independence, unification and power in the Romanian territory. There are also specific objects that show the lifestyle of the Romanian society at the time: costumes, accessories, decorative objects and weapons.
November 22 at 18.00:National Museum of Old Maps and Books, Bucharest: Exhibition – collection of old Japanese maps – for the first time in Romania. Current selection includes maps of the old provinces and prefectures of the Japanese archipelago as well as maps of Tokyo and its surroundings. The maps date from the late Edo period (1603-1867) and the first part of the Meiji (1868-1912). There are also some examples of so-called INO maps based on the research and plans of cartographer Ino Tadataka who, at the beginning of the nineteenth century, traveled across the country, drawing detailed maps, using modern topographic measurement methods. Exhibition is part of the series of events organized by the Japanese Embassy in Romania for the JAPANESE CULTURE MONTH and will remain open until December 24th.
November 23, Ramnicu Valcea: Gala of the Union of Fine Artists in Romania: Râmnicu Vâlcea will host for the first time the Gala of the Union of Fine Artists in Romania. The event will take place at a museum-hotel, unique in the country, and will be broadcast live by two of the national television stations.
November 24 at 19.00: National Art Museum: The Taskin Project: A guided tour will be held at the National Art Museum, presenting the current restoration stage of the Ruckers-Taskin Historic harpsichord at the Peles Sinaia National Museum. The event is included in the program of the Early Music Festival in Bucharest (until November 28).
International Festival of the Contemporary Animation Theater ImPuls: Tăndărică Puppet Theater in Bucharest; until 27 November. The program includes 32 shows performed by actors from China, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy and Romania, as well as conferences, workshops and book launches.
