CSAT discusses the national strategy on weapons of mass destruction

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will attend the UN General Assembly in New York on September 18-23, Presidential Administration Spokesperson, Mădălina Dobrovolschi, has announced today at the Cotroceni Palace. The Spokesperson has also made public other elements of the President's program for the next period, as reported by RRA Reporter Alina Stănuţă.
The Agenda of the Supreme Council of Country’s Defense (CSAT) meeting on Thursday, September 14th, includes: a) the participation of the Romanian Armed Forces, with a naval capability, to a NATO-led mission in the second half of 2017 and b) the Romanian national strategy in the field of preventing proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMM).
Responding to a question regarding the recent resignation of Defense Minister Adrian Ţuţuianu, Mădălina Dobrovolschi said that the President of Romania was constantly informed about the situation within the Ministry of Defense.
The President has had a dialogue with the Prime Minister on this issue and has asked for a solution to the problem, Mădălina Dobrovolschi said.
On Monday, September 11, Klaus Iohannis will attend the opening of the new school year at the Gheorghe Şincai National College, and on Thursday, the President will welcome, at the Cotroceni Palace, a group of Romanian athletes who will participate in Invictus Games 2017, a sports competition to be held in Canada, the Spokesperson of the Romanian Presidential Administration also announced.
For six days starting with September 18, President Klaus Iohannis will be in New York, to attend the UN General Assembly, where the Head of the Romanian State is scheduled to have many bilateral meetings.
