Ioan Dascălu, the appointed Secretary of State to replace Dan Valentin Fătuloiu, says he is aware of his new duties and wants his mandate to improve the image of the Romanian Police Department, but also wants to bring reform and restructuring within the Ministry of Interior.
'I am perfectly aware of the responsibilities that this position involves. As a short-term plan, I want to let you know that my activities will mainly focus on the improvement of the image of the Ministry of Interior and, of course, on the increase of public confidence in this institution and implicitly, in the flagship institution of the Ministry of Interior, namely the Romanian Police Department. My activities will also concern the reformation, restructuring and reorganization of the Ministry of Administration and Internal Affairs', Ioan Dascălu said.
Liviu Popa, who will hold the position of Chief of the Romanian General Police Inspectorate, also speaks on the topic of improving the image of the Romanian Police Department, as well as increasing the confidence of the citizens in this institution.
'I hope that, together with my colleagues in the Romanian General Police Inspectorate, we will manage to continue the great projects we already have and bring new ones, which will count as strong arguments in the improvement of the Romanian Police Department.
