The biggest air show organized in Romania takes place on Saturday.

This, the 14th edition, is dedicated to celebrating two decades since Romania joined NATO.

The event was preceded today at Baneasa Airport in Bucharest by an exhibition and training sessions.

George Rotaru, General Director of the Romanian Airclub: This is a special edition. We have a lot of evolutions, a very compact program, you will see aircraft in the air all the time. From 10:00 until 20:30 we will not have a minute's break. Besides the Romanian Airclub which is participating with a new formation of six Extra 300 airplanes, plus a soloist, we will have the White Wings glider formation, we will have a high aerobatic glider that will perform with fireworks, we will have parachutists who will jump from the newest airplane of the Romanian Airclub, a Cessna Caravan and we will have 'The Pelicans', a formation of ultra light airplanes that will perform. We have many guests, we have friends from Europe, we have Heliforce, a special helicopter from Hungary. Also, a Li-2, an airplane that made history on Baneasa, here in the 50s. We will have two MIG 15s, airplanes that made history in the Romanian Air Force. Even if it doesn't sound exciting now, you'll be impressed by what they will do. I guarantee, a great show.

Entry is free.
