Radio Romania celebrates on November 1st its 90th anniversary. Almost a century of Romanian history, during which the public radio knew how to be the most effective and credible means of information for the public and to promote national identity in a world of diversity.
Many personalities from Romania and abroad have sent messages on the occasion of Radio Romania’s anniversary.
BBC Director General Tony Hall: I am the Director General of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). All public media services in the UK and Romania have started as radio stations. Today, people use the radio or, as they say now, audio, in all sorts of new ways. For example, we at the BBC are just launching a new player to provide on-demand radio, which shows how dynamic radio still is. I think the radio has a fantastic future and we should all be very confident.
