Agreement WHO – Romanian Ministry of Health
President Iohannis underlined the need to strengthen the capacity for prevention and intervention in case of emergencies.

President Klaus Iohannis attended on Tuesday, World Health Day (April 7), the signing ceremony of a biennial collaborative agreement (BCA) between the World Health Organization (WHO) - Regional Office for Europe and Romania's Ministry of Health. Event took place as a video conference.
President Iohannis underlined the need to strengthen the capacity for prevention and intervention in case of emergencies.
Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Hans Kluge, presented a report on the COVID-19 pandemic at European level and the role of the World Health Organization.
At the end of the videoconference, Iohannis had a working meeting with Health Minister Nelu Tătaru, Head of WHO Office for Romania Miljana Grbic, and Alexandru Rafila, representative of Romania in the WHO Executive Board.
