A square in Paris will be named after the great Romanian composer George Enescu.
The announcement was made on Twitter by the city's deputy mayor, Laurence Patrice, who stated that the square is located in the 9th arrondissement of the French capital.
The decision was welcomed by Romania's ambassador to Paris, Luca Niculescu. He mentioned the location is close to the Paris Opera.
The decision of the Paris City Hall concludes the Enescu Year, which marks the 140th anniversary of the birth of the Romanian composer.
