E.ON and MOL will develop a national network of 40 electric vehicle charging stations in Romania. The investment will begin this year and will end in 2020, being backed by non-reimbursable European funds.
The European Commission announced on June 23 that the project was selected to receive funding through the European Interconnection Mechanism, with a recommended co-financing of nearly € 19 million.
Over 250 charging stations will be installed through this project; this will create an essential infrastructure for charging electric vehicles in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Romania.
