4.383 new COVID cases

Following the tests performed at national level, 4.383 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Between 13.03.2021 (10:00) - 14.03.2021 (10:00) 44 deaths of patients infected with the new coronavirus were reported (28 men and 16 women), hospitalized in Alba, Arges, Bacau , Bistrita-Nasaud, Bihor, Brasov, Caras-Severin, Cluj, Constanta, Dolj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomita, Maramures, Mehedinti, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timis, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Out of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 50-59, 15 deaths in the age category 60-69, 20 in the age category 70-79 years and 6 in the category of people over 80 years old.

41 of the registered deaths are of patients who presented comorbidities, and for 3 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 10.829. Of these, 1.232 are hospitalized in ICUs.
