1-2 February: NATO maritime groups in Constanța, Romania
Ships belonging to NATO SNMG2 and SNMCMG2 will stop-over in Constanța Harbor, Romania, on 1-2 February, to set details of joint exercises off the Black Sea coast.

Ships belonging to NATO Standing Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2) and NATO Standing Mine Countermeasure Group (SNMCMG2) will stop-over in Constanța Harbor, Romania, on 1-2 February, to set the details of the exercises to be held jointly off the Romanian Black Sea coast, Romanian Naval Forces announce in a press release.
Representatives of the two Groups will pay official visits to the Romanian Fleet Command and to local authorities in Constanța.
"NATO Standing Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2), that includes Romania’s ROS Regele Ferdinand, British destroyer HMS Duncan and Turkish frigate TCG Gaziantep, will conduct maritime surveillance operations and other specific missions by February 17 and NATO Standing Mine Countermeasure Group (SNMCMG2), that includes Romanian minesweeper ROS Lt. Lupu Dinescu, multifunctional hydrographic research vessel HMS Enterprise (UK) and Turkey’s TCG Akcay, will conduct maritime traffic surveillance missions and apply standard operating procedures for this type of mission by February 13”, the press release states.
