RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - Young people who finish high school but also university graduates who cannot find a job can register, if necessary, to obtain unemployment benefits. They will receive from the state, for six months, approximately 300 lei per month. Employment agencies say that applicants must register in the records of these institutions no later than 60 days after graduation.
In addition, if during the period of unemployment benefits they are employed full-time for a period longer than one year, they also benefit from a cash bonus, reports RRA correspondent from Giurgiu, Marcela Petcu: "This young woman has already submitted her application for granting unemployment benefits.
-: After graduating from high school, I tried to get a job, but I didn't succeed.
Reporter: The state grants this aid for half a year to graduates with or without a baccalaureate degree, who do not go to college and do not have any job. If they do not find work within 60 days of graduation, the state will help them with 299 lei per month.
Nicoleta Goleanu, AJOFM Giurgiu spokesperson: "Graduates of educational institutions who are registered in the records of the county employment agencies, within the radius of which they reside, benefit from information and professional counseling services, labor mediation, free professional training services, as well as other financial facilities. Must register within 60 days of graduation.”
Reporter: On the other hand, if they find work during this period, unemployed young people can also benefit from an insertion premium worth 1.794 lei. The authorities expect that the number of applications for unemployment benefits will increase in the coming days, given that some will not pass the Baccalaureate exam."
