Yellow code of storms

Meteorologists have issued a yellow code of storm warning, storms and hail, valid in most of the country, starting Wednesday, 15.00 and until Friday 12.00.

National Meteorological Administration(ANM) issued a warning according to which, starting Wednesday, 3 o’clock p.m. and until Thursday at 6 o’clock p.m., atmospheric instability will be accentuated in all hilly and mountainous areas and in Moldova.

In these areas will be rain, lightning, strong wind and isolated hail.

Rains can also have torrential character and the quantities of water can locally exceed 25 liters per square meter and isolated 40-50 liters per square meter.

Yellow code warning is valid until Thursday morning for the counties of Mehedinti, Florida, Hunedoara, Caras-Severin, Dambovita, Prahova, Buzau and Vrancea, Bacau, Covasna, Harghita, Neamt, Vaslui, Iasi, Botosani, Suceava and partly in Maramures Mures Nasaud, Valcea, Arges, Arad, Bihor, Alba, Salaj.

Starting Thursday at 6:00 ., and until Friday, at 12:00, the yellow code warning will include almost the entire country, except the counties of Olt County, Mures, Timis, Salaj and Satu Mare.

Orange Code of flood on Teleajen and Motru rivers

Hydrologists have issued Wednesday, a new warning orange code of flood available starting Wednesday at 16:00 for 13 river basins.

This completes the warning yellow code previously published and which, in turn, remains in force.

According to the National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management, from May 23, 16:00 - 24 May, 14:00, it is established an orange code of flood on Motru river and its tributary Cosuştea (Mehedinti County),on Teleajen river and on its tributary Cricovul Sarat (Prahova county).

The Yellow code warning remains on rivers basins: Old Bega, Bega (Timis County), Timis, Bârzava (Caras-Severin and Timis counties), Caras, Nera, Cerna (Caras Severin), Jiu and its tributaries from the Iscroni - upstream Podari (Hunedoara county, Gorj, Mehedinti and Dolj), tributaries of the Arges area mountain (Arges and Dambovita), on Ialomita (Dambovita and Ialomita counties) and Prahova (Prahova and Ialomita).

Hydrologists have established a yellow code also on the tributaries from the mountains area of upper and middle Olt, in the counties of Brasov, Sibiu and Valcea.

Throughout the warnings significant leak will be signaled, torrents, streams, rivers non cadastral and increases of river flows and levels in excess of defense quotas.
