The two officials also signed a joint declaration in which, among other things, they reaffirmed their support for the Republic of Moldova on the road to European integration.
Reporter: Petruta Obrejan: "The signing of the declaration of cooperation between the executive in Bucharest and the executive of the German federal state of Baden-Wurttemberg, as well as another document on cooperation in the field of civil protection between the ministries of home affairs of the two states, is an extremely important signal, which shows the intention of the two sides to deepen and develop bilateral relations, said today, during the ceremony at the Victoria Palace, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu. This, at a time when Baden-Wurttemberg is Romania's main trading partner among the German Lander.
It is known that the volume of trade reached 8.32 billion euros last year, compared to 734 million euros only 11 years ago, which is 12 times less. The head of the Romanian executive told Winfried Kretschmann, the premier of the German federal state of Baden-Wurttemberg, that he wanted the meetings of the joint government committee to resume as soon as possible. This is so that all the new projects identified in areas of common interest, such as the economy, energy, environmental protection, culture, home affairs, agriculture, education and, last but not least, health, can be implemented as soon as possible."
