Wind turbines in the top of energy production

Wind turbines account for 23.5% of total national energy production, ranking first among top electricity sources, and Romania’s exports are approaching 600 MW, show data of Wednesday, 28 November, on the state of the national energy system, posted on the Transelectrica website.
Power generation measured on Wednesday in the wind turbines is 2,242 MW.
Second largest producer of energy is coal, with 22.2% (2,129 MW) and third – hydrocarbs, with 20,8% (1,990 MW).
Domestic production amounts to 9,569 MW, and consumption to 8,989 MW, difference of 580 MW is being exported.
National Meteorological Administration has warned that on Wednesday, November 28, between 2:00 and 8:00 pm, wind will have speeds of 40-50 km/h, and in the east, center, south of Muntenia, Dobrudja and south of Moldova, wind will reach 55-75 km/h.
These are the areas where most wind farms in Romania are concentrated, informs Agerpres.
