When it comes to inflation, Romania is in the top
According to Eurostat, Romania is in the top of EU depending on the consumer prices value, of 7.9 percent in October, compared to the similar period of 2009.

According to Eurostat, Romania is in the top of EU, taking into account the consumer prices value, of 7.9 percent in October compared to the similar period of 2009, which is 3.4 times higher value than the average EU progress and significantly higher than that of the next two places.
In September, consumer prices increased with 7.7 percent in Romania, which is the highest significant increase in the Union.
In October, EU average annual inflation raised up to 2.3 percent from 2.2 percent, in September.
In the top of states that register the highest inflation value, Romania is followed by Greece with 5.2 percent and by Estonia with 4.5 percent.
The single EU country that, in October, registered a negative inflation was Ireland (0.8 percent).
Eurostat had no available information about Great Britain.
In Hungary, inflation is of 4.3 percent while in Bulgaria, Poland and Czech Republic the values are as follow: 3.6 percent, 2,6 percent, respectively 1.8 percent.
In Germany, prices increased with 1.3 percent, in Spain and Italy stepped up to 2.3 and respectively to 2 percent, while in Austria and France rose up to1.9 percent, respectively to 1.8 percent.
In the entire euro zone, inflation was about 1.9 percent.
Comparing with September, fifteen states registered annual inflation increases, while in six states the rate remained the same and in five states inflation declined.
In June, in Romania, inflation rate popped out from 4.3 percent to 7.1 percent once with the VAT increase from 19 percent to 24 percent but the domestic economy has registered one of the highest inflation rates in EU before the tax raise.
