RADIO ROMANIA NEWS (22 February, 16:00) - Radiojurnal - Producer: Laurentiu Vaduva - "What Europe does for me" is a booklet containing information aimed at making everyone aware of the importance of European policy and its consequences in national policies. The document was launched today by the European Parliament's press service as part of a briefing on how to cover the European elections on 6-9 June, 100 days before the vote - RRA editor Alina Stanuta reports. European Parliament spokesperson Jaume Duch Guillot says it is important that information about the role of the European Parliament reaches as many citizens as possible.
Jaume Duch Guillot: We have a mandate from the Parliament's leadership to try to help citizens across Europe to understand the main information, firstly, what the European Parliament and the European institutions have done during this mandate that is coming to an end and how the decisions in Brussels have been reflected in the lives of citizens, what impact they have had; secondly, why these European elections are important. We will try to inform as many citizens as possible through the media. In the context of the danger of disinformation or external interference, I believe that the work of serious and fair journalists is more important than ever.
