"We will increase military presence in Poland and Romania"

President Klaus Iohannis welcomes the announcement of the American counterpart, Joe Biden, regarding the increase of American military presence in Romania, on the eastern flank of NATO, "if the security situation deteriorates".
"I welcome President Joe Biden's announcement to increase the US military presence in Romania, on the Eastern Flank, if the security situation deteriorates further. The Romania-US Strategic Partnership and NATO solidarity are very strong", Klaus Iohannis wrote on Thursday, on Twitter.
US President Joe Biden announced in a press conference on Wednesday that the US military presence will be increased in Poland and Romania.
"We will effectively increase the military presence in Poland, in Romania, (...) because we have a sacred obligation in terms of Article 5, to defend these countries. They are part of NATO. We do not have this obligation in relation to Ukraine, although We are very concerned about what is happening in Ukraine", said Joe Biden, informs Agerpres.
