Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has approved, on Wednesday, Viorica Dăncilă (54), the nominee of the ruling coalition SDP-ALDE for Prime Minister, after consultations with all parties represented in Parliament. Viorica Dăncilă (54) will have to form a new Government until February 1.
Following the announcement made by the Head of State, the designated Prime Minister declared she would wait for the parliamentary vote and she mentioned the most important objectives of her mandate.
Viorica Dăncilă: “Apply the governance program for Romania and the Romanians, honor this year’s Centenary (from the Great Union), but at the same time prepare the Presidency of the Council of the European Union (that Romania will assume for six months, n.a) starting from 1 January 2019”.
The approval vote in the Romanian Parliament will take place on January 29.
