Ombudsman, Gheorghe Iancu, said he would appeal to Constitutional Court Act the legislative provisions governing the sanction amount for not having vignette, he appreciated they are "excessive".
Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads(CNADNR) says that so many recording equipments are on the way so far , so many fines and compensations are given, which seems to me the least abusive or excessive, rather.
On the other sides , including courts, considered to be a continued contravention, then, as soon as it was found that person is the offender, until he takes another vignette, there is only one offense continued.
One fine and one compensation to be "said at Actualitatea în dezbatere, the Ombudsman, Gheorghe Iancu.
Gheorghe Iancu said at Radio România Actualităţi that any decision of Constitutional Court will approve the referral made by the Ombudsman will only have effects in the future , not retroactive.
Gheorghe Iancu had announced a few weeks ago that he investigated about drivers that received sanctions for not having vignette and he analyzes the legal frame based on which they are .
"We did analysis on I was talking and I inform you that we have a special report of the Ombudsman on this issue, which will be ready soon. Even though it has not been drawn up yet in its final form, I can announce that next week I will notify the Constitutional Court on this issue, "said the Ombudsman.
Ombudsman himself is among those sanctioned by the National Company of Motorways and National Roads in Romania and his wife because he traveled on public roads without vignette.
Gheorghe Iancu said that both he and his wife paid the fines, but he advised those who received such penalties to contest in court.
