Romania's Presidency of the Council of the European Union next year will be an excellent opportunity to present its economic offer, Romanian Minister-Delegate for European Affairs Victor Negrescu said while attending the International Business Forum that took place on 30-31 August at Bucharest’s Palace of Parliament. The business environment faces a strong competition and we need to identify the best ways to increase competitiveness, including by promoting entrepreneurship support measures at European level, he added.
Victor Negrescu: "We must be able to push forward those decisions, those European files that are currently blocked in negotiations at Member State level. And more than that, we must be able to come up with solutions that truly support the European business environment. Our central objective during the Presidency is to talk about the benefits that the European Union brings to the everyday life of the citizen. Or, one of the most important expectations relates to the citizen's ability to achieve economic objectives, and (…) to development, which often means that there is the possibility for every individual to become a successful entrepreneur".
Romania needs a more active presence in the European decision-making process, Minister-Delegate Negrescu also stated, according to RRA Editor Iulian Olescu.
