USR will not vote for a government if the Social Democrats are part of it

The Save Romania Union (USR) announced that it will not vote for any government of which the Social Democrats (PSD) are part of.
The leader of the Union, Dacian Ciolos, says that his party is the only pro-European force that really wants to modernize Romania and that it will fight from the opposition for the continuation of reforms and the depoliticization of public institutions. He criticized the Liberals (PNL) for the current political situation.
Dacian Ciolos: This situation was reached primarily because of the weakness of PNL leaders and with the permission of President Iohannis, not because USR was not flexible enough, but because USR did not accept to take from the old parties the model of lies and hypocrisy compared to the promises made. We will oppose the abuses of this toxic alliance.
Regarding a possible amendment of the Constitution to transform the country into a parliamentary republic, Dacian Ciolos said that now is not the time to create an imbalance of power in the state.
