USR intends to become the largest governing party after the parliamentary elections

Articol de Radiojurnal, 19 Noiembrie 2022, 20:23

USR intends to become the largest governing party after the parliamentary elections. It has 18 months at its disposal and the party leaders asked the members for maximum mobilization, at today's Political Committee of the formation, at the Palace of Parliament.

The president of USR, Catalin Drula, claims that a deep change is needed at the level of the political class to ensure a real and consistent progress of Romania.

Catalin Drula: Romania is not a poor country, Romania is an impoverished country. There are three things we will have to do to change Romania into the country we want. First, let's stop the waste of public money, let's close the taps through which billions of euros flow into the pockets of the party clientele. Second, let's give more money to education, to health, to build the infrastructure that connects the regions of the country and to invest in green energy and a healthy environment. And the third: to promote honest, professional and hard-working people in the administrations, in the town halls.

Present at the event, the president of the Renew Europe Group, Stephane Sejourne, declared that he will make every effort in the European Parliament for Romania's accession to the Schengen area.
