In support of Ukrainian citizens who have taken refuge in Romania or are in transit, useful information on access to the country and the rights they enjoy in Romania is made available on the official communication channels of the Government.
Upon entering the country through the border crossing points, people coming from Ukraine receive a printed brochure, published in Ukrainian, containing information on the steps to apply for and obtain asylum in Romania, the institutions to which they are addressed, the insured medical services and the right to work.
The telephone numbers they can call for further details are also mentioned:
• (+4) 021.9590 - Romanian Border Police,
• (+4) 021.410.75.13 - General Inspectorate for Immigration,
• 112 - Emergency Service,
• 119 - Number for emergencies related to children (including for children without families).
The brochure contains a QR code that refers to the section "Ukraine - Together we help more", located on the website of the Government of Romania - www.gov.ro, where the Romanian, English and Ukrainian versions of the brochure can be downloaded.
