The United States Embassy in Bucharest announces that Aegis Ashore Romania is fully operational and fully funded.
The Embassy states in a press release that the system represents a very important contribution of the United States and Romania to the NATO ground-based ballistic missile defense system and that the legislation under consideration for the National Defense Authorization Act - Fiscal Year 2018 refers to additional capacities for Air Defense of the Deveselu Base.
