Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă has had a meeting, today, at Victoria Palace (Romanian Government premises), with the United States Ambassador to Bucharest, Hans Klemm.
During talks with the US diplomat, the Head of the Romanian Government stressed the importance of a very good Partnership with the United States.
Viorica Dăncilă: “It’s been a very good meeting, a punctual meeting. We’ve raised several matters regarding Romania. We’ve talked about the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), about Romania becoming a OECD member and the US support in this respect. We’ve talked about the visas for the Romanian citizens, about the American investors in Romania. (…) We’ve talked about maintaining the 2 % allocation from the GDP for the defense sector and at the same time, I mentioned the idea for Romania to become an armament producer for the entire region, so I’ve tried to have an approach that will support Romania and its very good collaboration with the US through the Strategic Partnership".
Romanian Government announced that the meeting between Viorica Dăncilă and Hans Klemm is the first of a series of meetings that the Romanian Prime Minister will have in the coming period with representatives of foreign embassies accredited in Romania.
