United Arab Emirates: President Iohannis visited Masdar City, a city focused on sustainable urban development

President Klaus Iohannis, on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, visited Masdar City today, an example of sustainable urban development, with solutions focused on energy efficiency and environmental protection.
The President was presented with solutions for transportation and urban cooling and ventilation, energy generation at building level, as well as the optimal use of natural light in research and education units.
The solutions tested in Masdar City can inspire projects from other cities, including Romania, which are increasingly interested in sustainability.
Romanian researchers, affiliated to the research institutes in Masdar City, contribute to the development of these solutions, according to a press release from the Presidency.
