Ukraine: The new law on national minorities caused discontent among the Romanian community

The new law on national minorities, adopted in the Supreme Rada of Ukraine, caused discontent among the Romanian community in this country, due to the fact that it does not allow children of different ethnicities to study in their languages.
In the Chernivtsi region, there are schools where teaching has been done only in the Romanian language for more than 150 years, and the leaders of the Romanian minority demand the introduction of the right to education in the mother tongue in this law, in order to preserve national values.
