Ukraine and Romania will hold in Bucharest, between April 12-13, the first Conference on Security in the Black Sea, as part of the Crimea International Platform, reports the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine quoted by Interfax.
Russia's unprovoked and unjustified military aggression against Ukraine has challenged the security system in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov regions. In order to find effective ways to respond to these challenges and provide opportunities for sustainable development to all peaceful countries in the region, Ukraine initiated the first Blackberry Security Conference, which will take place, together with Romania, in Bucharest between April 12-13, the Ministry of Defense announced on its official website.
According to the Ministry, this event is part of the Crimea International Platform, a mechanism aimed at the de-occupation of Crimea and the restoration of Black Sea, European and global security.
The conference is supported by: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania and the Ministry of National Defense of Romania, in partnership with the Center for Defense Strategies (Ukraine).
The Conference will be attended by foreign and defense ministers, heads of international institutions, government officials and independent experts, representing the participants of the Crimea International Platform.
They will analyze the multidimensional impact of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine on the security situation in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov regions, and beyond; they will also discuss a possible response strategy to challenges and threats, as well as the pillars of the future configuration of the security system in the region, the Ministry of Defense said.
Issues related to information warfare and cyber attacks will also be in focus.
