Romania and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can collaborate in various fields such as information technology, renewable energy, environmental protection or real estate, Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teodor Meleşcanu, said on Tuesday after meeting in Bucharest with the Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates, Dr.Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.
RRA Reporter: As the Head of the Romanian Diplomacy Teodor Meleşcanu said, in the next period there will be large-scale actions in the sphere of economic cooperation; he also mentioned that he also discussed regional security.
Teodor Meleşcanu: We have made a useful review of our political-diplomatic cooperation priorities at bilateral level and within international bodies. As to regional security, a consistent and substantive dialogue with the Emirates partners is essential for identifying new perspectives and ways of action in support of populations severely affected by tensions and crises.
RRA Reporter: According to Minister Sultan Al Jaber, the United Arab Emirates want to develop cooperation with Romania, in the context in which there have been identified common points of the two states.
Sultan Al Jaber: You are a friendly country and there are many similarities between us. The UAE has been created on the principles of peace and progress, it respects other cultures, religions and neighbors - these are common points that bind us. We have found that both sides want to develop this relationship even more, in the political, economic and cultural spheres.
