Two teenagers from Romania are taking part for the first time as members of a delegation at the United Nations Climate Change Conference - COP29, taking place in Azerbaijan these days.
They are members of the Romanian Children's Board, supported by the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund.
UNICEF representative Raluca Dinu explained to our radio station the significance of the two teenagers' presence at the international conference: Children are the most affected by climate change, so it is very important that they are involved in climate decisions at national and international level. Eva and Victor were part of the Romanian delegation to COP and did ad advocacy so that children are consulted when it comes to climate decisions.
