Two more deaths from infection with the Delta strain #Covid

Two people from Bacau County infected with the Delta version of the coronavirus have died, according to the latest information provided by the National Vaccination Committee. Aged 35 and 62, respectively, they were not vaccinated, the authorities said in a statement.
Delta strain characteristics:
According to CNCAV, "variant B1617.2 (Delta) or the Indian strain is considered the most adapted of the four viral variants of concern, with a high degree of contagion, twice as high as the original strain and approximately 60% higher than the Alpha strain, known as the British variant.
The Delta variant has the potential to become the majority strain globally, not only in certain countries, being responsible for a large number of infections, predominantly in unvaccinated people.
The current vaccines administered in full scheme maintain their effectiveness against infection with this type of strain, meaning that the vaccine produced by Pfizer / BioNTech provides 96% protection against hospitalization and AstraZeneca / Vaxzevria provides 92% protection.
