Two men detained for smuggling compressed air weapons into the country

Two men have been detained by police officers on charges of smuggling compressed air weapons into Romania and selling them. According to the Arad County Police Inspectorate, the suspects sold the weapons, as well as 1.750 items of ammunition, to people in the country via an online platform.
During the investigation, searches were carried out in Calarasi and Maramures counties, as well as in the capital, at the addresses of those who allegedly bought the weapons. The two detained men are being investigated for the offenses of failure to comply with the arms and ammunition regime, unlawful use of firearms and aggravated smuggling.
