NIA finds incompatibilities in the case of two members of the National Broadcasting Council.

It is the former president of the institution, Răsvan Popescu and Cristian Mititelu. Both maintain their innocence.

According to NIA, Răsvan Popescu , as a member and president of CNA, would have been solved requests for SC Pro TV SA, while he received 15,000 euros as economic benefits from SC Mediapro Pictures SA, which is the same trust with Pro TV.

Răsvan Popescu argues, however, that he received the money for winning a contest at the National Film Board, with a script that was produced by Mediapro Pictures.

"The money that ANI referred is money obtained from these contests. I believe this is very thin interpretation and it will not stand up within the court," said the former CNA president, Răsvan Popescu.

In respect of Cristian Mititelu, he would be found in incompatibility because he was member and President of CNA at the same time, respectively Vice-President of the Association or Civic Alliance.

Cristian Mititelu believes that as long as it regards the civil society, the interpretation that the two of them are functions would be excessive.

However, Cristian Mititelu believes to have been the target of a campaign.

"There was pressure from some part of the press, in this sense was pressure from a group of the Council, with a particular political affiliation," says Cristian Mititelu.

Both Răsvan Popescu and Cristian Mititelu said they plan to appeal within the court ANI’s decision.
