Tulcea: Access on the ships that provide daily transportation to the Danube Delta is difficult

Access to the ships that provide daily transportation to the Danube Delta is hampered in Tulcea due to the increasingly steep inclination of the footbridges connecting the river to the shore, due to the low water level of the river.
Representatives of the local maritime authorities said that the situation is difficult for the employees who load the ships with basic necessities for the isolated settlements in the Delta.
They say that on some days they load the ships with as much as 35 tons of goods a day, which involves excessive physical effort.
The specialists say the problems arose with the rehabilitation of the Ivan Patzaichin cliff, and they will try to remedy them at the end of the tourist season.
Yesterday, in Tulcea, the river level was 55cm, 2cm lower than the previous day.
