Traffic restrictions in Bucharest due to Iris concert
Bucharest traffic will be restricted on more central arteries from 16.00 till 02.00. The anniversary concert "Iris 35 years" marks the launch of the newest album.

Traffic on Liberty Avenue, between September 13 and United Nations Boulevard and Union Avenue, between Avenue IC Bratianu and Constitution Square will be restricted, Friday from 16.00 to 2.00, in the context of conducting a concert in Constitution Square "Iris - 35 years".
According to a release of the General Directorate of Bucharest Police, depending the number of participants will be restricted also arteries Liberty Avenue, between September 13 and roundabout way Coşbuc, and between United Nations Boulevard and Splaiul Independence Avenue, Way September 13, between Arsenal Square and Liberty Avenue, United Nations Avenue, between Str. B.P. Hasdeu and United Nations Square.
The capital police recommend the public transportation, in the Constitution Square parking is not available and those wishing to use the car to move to the show ask them to avoid entering the area near Constitution Square.
Drivers intending to transit the area during the restrictions are recommended to use the following detours: from Boulevard Ghencea: through the way September 13 - Boulevard Tudor Vladimirescu – George Cosbuc Blvd - Queen Mary Avenue - Union Square or Way September 13 - Str. Source - United Nations Avenue - Splaiul Independence - Union Square, from Alba Iulia Square: the Union Boulevard - Blvd IC Bratianu - Splaiul Independence - Bridge B.P. Hasdeu - Str. B.P. Hasdeu - Str. Source - Arsenal Square - Route 13 September.
Felicia Filip and Puya, special guests at the anniversary concert Iris - 35 years
Anniversary concert "Iris 35 years" will be held on Friday, in Constitution Square, starting at 20.00.
Soprano Felicia Filip and hip-hop artist Puya are two of the Iris band invited to Iris 35 anniversary concert.
The concert marks the launch of the newest album Iris 35 which
will have 14 tracks, seven old pieces, voted on the site by the band fans and seven new songs.
Old songs, "Iris Flower", "Your Street", "Train Without Godfather", "Bizarre Sleep", "Baby," "The Waters" and "The Night", were voted by Iris fans on the official site of the band.
In early April, in a press conference, the band singer, Cristi Minculescu, said that for him, "the band's greatest achievement is that they came to celebrate 35 years" and that he wants the show in June to be a "beautiful, moving", as were other celebrations.
Bassist Doru Borobeică promised the fans "a magical evening."
"At the concert we are going to give all our best," said Doru Borobeică.
In 2007, Iris band celebrated 30 years of existence at Băneasa airport, where they sang in front of over 15,000 fans, an unrivaled local record.
The 35-year career anniversary of Iris band occasioned also the opening, Wednesday, in the heart of the capital, the Romanian rock museum, including photographs of the most important bands in the country.
Also, at the museum will be exposed rock and art objects, including musical instruments belonging to Romanian singers or electronic devices used by different groups in concert.
The Museum will be opened every day from 11.00 am to 23.00 pm and the entry will be free for all Romanian music lovers.
Over 100 policemen from Bucharest will ensure public order and safety measures at the anniversary concert of Iris band.
The public access in Constitution Square will be from 18.00 am through 25 access points - 10 access gates will be installed on bd. Freedom, the path from 13 September and 15 other access gates will be installed on bd. Freedom, the side from United Nations Boulevard.
