RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - Tourism employers ask the government for a legal framework favourable to the development of this sector. They want less bureaucracy, more support from the state, and beaches to be allocated with priority to hoteliers. Another proposal concerns the salaries of seasonal workers.
Dragos Raducanu, president of the Federation of Tourism Employers: "Seasonal employees are unemployed after they finish their work, and the state pays for this unemployment. We have proposed that we pay for this unemployment, so that they remain employees of the companies that have stopped their activity during the winter, but instead of unemployment benefit paid by the state, we pay this money in a form of salary, so that we do not pay taxes that are almost 42-45%."
