The President of the Permanent Electoral Authority, Toni Grebla, was dismissed from his post in the plenary of the Parliament with 267 votes in favor, 56 against and 71 abstentions.
The report of the legal committees cited illegal salary increases and the renting of new premises for the Central Electoral Office. Toni Grebla rejected the accusations and said he had always respected the law in his work.
The duties will be taken over on an interim basis by the Vice-President of the Permanent Electoral Authority, Zsombor Vajda.
