Timisoara joins the campaign to support Ukraine with power generators

Articol de Radio România Timişoara, 20 Decembrie 2022, 23:58

Timisoara joined the European campaign to support Ukraine with generators for electricity - "Generators of hope".

The campaign was launched jointly by the European Parliament and Eurocities, following the call made by the Government of Ukraine, which urgently needs electric generators to keep hospitals, schools, the water supply system, the telephone network, etc. in operation.

Timiaoara City Hall announced that it wants to purchase four large stationary generators, which cost approximately 250.000 lei. The purchase will be made through the Timisoara platform for Ukraine, which has been operating since the beginning of the war and is made up of public institutions, NGOs, private companies and churches.

Individuals can make donations directly on the website https://timisoarapentruucraina.ro/ro/. Legal entities can support by directing the amounts available for sponsorship to the campaign. Request the sponsorship contract or more information at fundatiacomunitaratm@gmail.com.

"Timisoara has been with Ukraine since the first days of the war. Now, our help and solidarity is needed again, and therefore, I urge everyone who can help to join this campaign in order to raise funds for the purchase of power generators", said Mayor Dominic Fritz.

Since the beginning of the war, donations worth almost 690.000 lei have been collected through Timisoara for Ukraine, from which civil protection equipment, medicines, food and essential goods were purchased that arrived in Ukraine.
