The City of Timisoara officially opened the 28th Edition of the Hearts Festival (6-9 July), a UNESCO-sponsored event, which brings together folklore representatives from Europe, North America and Asia.
Like every year, the event began with a parade of the traditional costumes, right in the center of Timişoara, where spectators made thousands of photos.
Every evening, until Sunday, performances take place on the stage from the Roses Park, where dancers and soloists from 12 countries - including Argentina, Georgia, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Puerto Rico and Romania - will take part.
According to the festival tradition, the participants brought flowers at the Monument for the Revolution Heroes from December 1989, considering the fact that the event was initiated in 1990, in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for freedom.
Entrance to all shows is free.
