Three gold medals and two silver for Romania to EC
Sandra Izbaşa took gold on vault at the European Gymnastics Championships. At t beam, Cătălina Ponor won gold, and silver was taken by Larisa Iordache.

The gymnast Cătălina Ponor won the gold medal Sunday, and Larisa Iordache won the silver at the beam final at the European Championships in Brussels.
Larisa Iordache opened the final, being noted with 15,133, which took the second place.
Cătălina Ponor came last in the final, her performance being noted with 15,200, which brought her the gold medal.
On the podium was also Hannah Whelan (14,333).
In the ground final that followed, Larisa Iordache received the gold medal, while Cătălina Ponor took the silver medal.
Previously, Sandra Izbaşa won the gold medal in the vault final.
Sandra Izbaşa was noted with 14,900 at the first leap and with 14,883 at the second leap and the average of 14,866 has given her the gold medal.
Silver medal was given to gymnast Oksana Şusovitina from Germany with 14,683, and the third place came to Giulia Steingruber (Switzerland) - 14,624.
Gold after four years in the final team for Romania
Romanian women's gymnastics team won the European champion title Saturday in Brussels.
This was the first continental title of Romanian team, after a break of four years.
Romania won the European title with a total of 176,288 points after it ran the final from one end to another, in front of bleachers full of tricolor flags.
In the top competition in Brussels, Romania was followed by Russia and Italy.
Romanian team was made up of Diana Bulimar Romania, Larisa Iordache, Cătălina Ponor, Sandra Izbaşa and Raluca Haidu.
The team is prepared by Octavian Belu and Mariana Bitang.
In addition to the medal taken by the Romanian team and also by Sandra Izbasa, the delegation of our country has also achieved silver for juniors on vault (Alina Stănilă), at beam (Andreea Munteanu), on the ground (Silvia Zarzu), bronze for juniors, per team, at individually-composed and ground (Andreea Munteanu).
