The works on the new bridge over the Prut at the Bumbata - Leova border crossing "are close to completion"

The authorities in Vaslui County claim that the works at the new border crossing point with the Republic of Moldova, Bumbata - Leova, are advanced and the objective is that by the end of this month they will be completed and the bridge over the Prut will be put into use.
The area leading to the new border crossing point is laid out on both the Romanian and Moldovan shores.
The pontoon bridge is under construction, so, according to the prefect of Vaslui county, Daniel Onofrei, all the conditions are in place for the new Bumbata - Leova state border crossing point to be put into use by May 25.
Moreover, the prefect of Vaslui, Daniel Onofrei, claims that this pontoon bridge over the Prut is only a temporary solution, the plan being to build a bridge like the one in Albita at Bumbata too.
