Romania's stock of vaccine against COVID-19 has increased yesterday thanks to another 21.600 doses produced by Moderna.
As in the case of Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderna has delays in the delivery of contracted quantities at European level, but the company has given assurances that the number of doses will be supplemented later.
The Moderna vaccine will start being administered on Monday, with a booster on the 28th day.
Delayed deliveries and a lack of predictability regarding future installments have led to the rescheduling of more than 100.000 people who should have received their first dose by 11 February.
However, the immunization continues for those over 65 years of age, as well as for people in residential, medical and social centers, people on dialysis, immobilized or immovable and those without shelter.
Almost 555.000 Romanians received at least one dose of vaccine, and over 92.000 received the booster.
