RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - The governing coalition seeks to reach an agreement on the reform of special pensions. According to the declarations of the Minister of Labor at the beginning of the week, the proposals from the ministries involved were expected until noon today, and after the government meeting a new meeting of the working group was scheduled, in order to agree on those amendments that would later be presented for decision.
RRA reporter Petruta Obrejan mentioned that, this afternoon, after the executive meeting, the Minister of Investments and European Projects admitted that there is a risk that this milestone represented by the reform of special pensions within the NRRP will not be validated and that we will receive only a part from the amounts related to payment request number three. Marcel Bolos says that the reformation is not a complicated decision, but it can lead to a destabilization in public services that are of national strategic importance. In addition, Minister Bolos states, a balance must be established between the general pension system and that of special pensions.
Marcel Bolos: "The comparison is made between the two, and here we must be very careful when we send the draft law and the law, finally, approved by the parliament to be validated by the European Commission, because, if there will be discrepancies between the general pension system and the special pension system, here we will have to give explanations to the Commission why we want to have different percentages for the two systems, respectively for the general pension system and the special pensions.”
