In the past 20 years, the number of qualified workers has been constantly dropping, because kids replaced the crafts with college and the craftsmen, that our country had, left for bigger salaries in foreign countries.
The data from the National Institute of Statistics show that almost 200 thousand students graduate annually, up to 70% more than six years ago.
How many of them will find a job in their field depends on how the offer of employment reaches them.
Currently, those who want to find a job can search either through the National Agency for the Occupation of Labor Force, either in newspapers or on the internet.
The online offer seems to be better directed for those who have higher education.
Eugen Preda, consultant to the president of National Institute for the Occupation of Labor Force says that the lack of jobs offers isn’t because the employers are scared, but because there is a contradiction between the structure of the profession of those who finish college and what the labor market demands.
“The jobs can be occupied only by those who are qualified”, added Eugen Preda.
He said that the employers can’t structure their employment offer based on what our higher education institutes make of the students.
