The Romanian General Consulate in Los Angeles temporarily suspends its activities

The Romanian General Consulate in Los Angeles is temporarily suspending its activities, after the American authorities requested the evacuation of the building due to the unpredictable evolution of the fires, announced the Romanian Foreign Ministry.

Emergency services will be provided to Romanian citizens through a mobile consular team.

The Romanian diplomacy advises citizens in Los Angeles to follow the instructions of local authorities and to call the single emergency number 911 in the United States in case of imminent danger.

So far, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says, there have been no reports of Romanian fatalities and no requests for consular assistance.
